The patina and surface integrity of outdoor sculptures are susceptible to degradation when exposed to environmental elements–sun, rain, heat, cold, dirt and debris.

Pre-Maintenance

Over time, the original surface sealant will degrade and expose the sculpture's patina to the harshness of nature.  Elements such as sprinkler over-spray, bird droppings and sap will adversely affect the raw, exposed surface of the sculpture.

Post-maintenance

Regular maintenance overseen by a specialist will help to protect the fragile layer of coloration on the sculpture's surface.  A specific process of cleaning the surface and applying a protective coating will slow natural changes by creating a protective barrier.
